Choose a registered entry method that suits the person using the gate. Keep a securely stored mechanical key as backup.
Touchscreen password
Enter an authorized code on the front keypad.
Registered card
A compatible card offers an alternative when a user prefers not to use a fingerprint.
Mechanical key
A physical backup behind the exterior key-access cover.
Temporary password
Use a supported temporary code with validity rules confirmed for the selected version.
Optional app
Phone access and remote functions depend on the selected app version and connection setup.
Keep the correct code within a longer sequence.
Anti-peeping entry allows extra digits before and after the correct password, with the correct code kept consecutive. Follow the maximum-length rules supplied with your lock.

The Tuya promotional sheet mentions Wi-Fi and explicitly requires an optional gateway. Direct lock-to-router operation is not assumed. Confirm the radio protocol, app, gateway and included equipment in the quotation.

Everyday courtyard access
Family members use their enrolled fingerprint or card. Close the gate fully so the door-close sensing and lock can work as set up.
Rental and shared-home entrances
With a supported app version, manage authorized users and review available entry records. Remove outgoing occupants’ access during a handover.
An existing metal-gate upgrade
Assess the existing gate and frame before replacement. Check room for the inside rim body, outside reader and strike housing.
Door examples from the supplied materials, not universal compatibility claims. Weight, frame geometry, opening direction and existing holes must be checked.
Close the gate. Let the sensor do its part.
The materials describe Hall-sensor detection for automatic locking after the door closes. The gate and strike must align correctly; confirm the closure and locking sequence during installation.
Battery-powered installation
No external access-control power cable is described as necessary. This does not mean the inside and outside assemblies need no connection or that existing holes will always fit.
Plan for the actual outdoor location.
The supplier describes sealed, water- and sun-resistant construction. No IP rating or independent weather test is supplied. Assess rain exposure, heat and the installation position; do not assume immersion, pressure-washing or coastal corrosion resistance.
POWER & MANUAL BACKUP
Replaceable batteries. Practical backups.
Four AA (size 5) batteries provide regular power. Follow the supplied battery instructions and confirm the battery type on the delivered unit. Runtime depends on usage, settings and battery quality.

Type-C emergency power
A compatible power bank can temporarily power authorized unlocking. This is not a claim that the installed batteries can be recharged through this port.

Use the mechanical key
Keep a key securely available to an authorized person when electronic entry is unavailable.
Inside release knob
The indoor rotary control provides manual release. Its operation and any privacy setting are demonstrated at handover.
Rim body and bolt
The illustrated body mounts on the inside face of the gate and engages a separate strike housing. Fit and alignment matter more than appearance alone.

A clear fit check before installation.
Send photos of both sides, the gate edge, the frame and the existing lock. Include thickness, opening direction and your location. The drawings below are supplier references, not drilling templates.
Exterior reader panel
165 mm high × 60 mm wide. From top to bottom: fingerprint reader, keypad/card area, doorbell key, mechanical-key access cover and emergency-power interface.
Inside lock body and strike
Front view: 127 mm wide × 95 mm high. The separate strike housing is marked 35 mm wide. The side-view callout is 65 mm; verify the same reference points on the actual hardware.
